Dugald Stewart (1753-1828)

Dugald Stewart (1753-1828) was an influential Scottish Common Sense Realist. He studied under Adam Ferguson at the University of Edinburgh and attended the University of Glasgow to attend the classes of Thomas Reid. He succeeded Ferguson as Professor of Moral Philosophy, serving 25 years.
